Terms of use

These terms cover yajat.dev, the personal portfolio site of Yajat Dureja, operated from India.

1. Acceptance of terms

By visiting or using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please close the tab — that is the entire enforcement mechanism.

They apply to all visitors, including anyone using the contact form or following links to work shown here.

2. What this site is

A portfolio. It exists to show work I have built, describe what I do, and give you a way to reach me. It is a portfolio, not a platform — nothing here has a Series A — and it holds nothing of yours except a message if you choose to send one.

• Descriptions of projects, skills and experience.
• Links to live sites, repositories and social profiles.
• A contact form that emails me.

3. Nothing here is an offer or a contract

Availability notes, project descriptions and rates mentioned in conversation are indicative, not binding. Any actual engagement is governed by a separate written agreement between us, and nothing on this site creates a client relationship on its own.

4. Intellectual property

The design, code, copy and visual assets of this site are mine unless credited otherwise. Client work shown here remains the property of the respective clients and appears with permission or as publicly available work.

• You may link to any page here, quote short excerpts with attribution, and view the source your browser downloads.
• You may not republish the site’s content wholesale, pass the work off as your own, or use client logos and screenshots to imply an endorsement that does not exist.

5. Acceptable use

Use the site normally. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Attempt unauthorised access to any non-public part of the site.
• Probe, scan or stress-test the infrastructure, or interfere with its availability for others.
• Run bots, automated scrapers or bulk requests that place an unreasonable load on the site.
• Use the contact form for spam, bulk outreach, phishing, malware, or impersonation of another person.

The contact form is rate limited and protected by a bot check. Circumventing either is a breach of these terms. It also reaches a real inbox, so please don’t use it to tell me about your token.

6. Contact submissions

You are responsible for what you send. Do not submit confidential material, credentials, or anyone else’s personal data through the form. By sending a message you agree it may be stored and replied to as described in the privacy policy.

Unsolicited ideas or proposals sent through the form are not treated as confidential and create no obligation on my part.

7. Availability

The site is offered as-is and as-available. Pages may be changed, restructured or taken down at any time, and deploys, provider incidents or maintenance may interrupt access without notice. No uptime is promised.

8. Third-party links and services

Links point to sites I do not control, and their content, terms and availability are their own responsibility. The site also depends on third-party service providers, and their outages are not something I can be held to.

9. No professional advice

Anything written here — including technical notes, architecture write-ups and opinions about tools — is general information, not professional advice for your situation. Decisions you make based on it are yours.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content, including lost data, lost profits or business interruption.

11. Fees

The site is free to browse. There is nothing to buy here, no subscription, and no billing of any kind. No upsell, no “Pro” tier, and no modal appearing in three seconds.

12. Termination

Access may be blocked at the network or application level for anyone abusing the site or breaching these terms. You may stop using the site at any time — there is no retention flow trying to talk you out of it.

13. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top changes when they do, and continued use of the site means you accept the revised version.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
